hello all,

these crazy gaps between posts are becoming longer and longer. a lot has happened since my last post. at the beginning of may, i left australia to come back to hong kong, after having tried to find a job in sydney for 3.5 months. i was really discouraged because i was so full of hope that something would happen in the 11th hour, but it didn't. i couldn't fully understand why, after so much prayer and effort, it all amounted to nothing. i arrived in hong kong again on 5 may, holding onto the grim possibility of working with a company in 'outback' victoria. i wasn't entirely happy with everything about it but at this point, i was willing to take anything.

i figured that i'd work for a bit in hong kong while i wait for them to get back to me, i thought for 1 month maximum. after a few interviews, i got a job as an english teacher, i was over the moon - i had something, short term, but it was a job!! my uncle in germany had also set up an interview for me with one of his business partners in hong kong the day after i said yes to the school. this guy wanted to expand his company to australia and i thought that he'd slot me into some marketing position for a september/october start. i was wrong. they offered me the chance to go back to sydney, open their office and run their business there. it was well beyond my wildest dreams, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. what was even more amazing was that the date that i accepted this job was in line with a prophecy that i received from another uncle in india at the end of march. he said that something would happen for me regarding a job and australia on 27 may 2005 - the exact date!!! it did!! praise God!

anyway, i was still left with a slight moral dilemna because i'd already agreed to the teaching job. i mean, yes, in so many ways, this was a nobrainer but still, i felt so bad because i had given the school my word. i prayed that weekend for clarity, went to the school on monday and resigned. i explained myself very briefly and surprisingly, they were very understanding and even offered me a job there in the future if i should choose to return. i was sooo relieved. :)

i started working with 'fukutomi' as business coordinator (australia) on 1 june. the business itself revolves around importing/exporting recycled plastics and selling merchandising products. since then, I have travelled to china twice and have just came back to germany from a 12 day business trip in eastern europe. a colleague and i visited suppliers in germany, switzerland, austria, croatia, slovenia, poland, czech republic and slovakia. we must have covered about 6000 km by car in that time. i am so exhausted now...

i'll be in munich for another 4 days, then i fly to sydney, via hong kong, for 2+ weeks to conduct some market research and lay the groundwork. also, i get to be reunited with the love of my life, felicia, whom i haven't seen in 2 months and 18 days (soppy, i know! hehe). it's been really tough but i truly believe that God has really watched over us and the time apart has really helped us grow.

i apologise for the extensive essay, it's now 3:30 am and i really can't be bothered to edit this post. i hope you're all well, i miss you all, wherever you are. i hope we get to see each other again very soon. for all my aussie mates, i'll be back in sydney permanently in september/october. kung fu boys - the Five-Fold Ministry lives baby! also, icc boys, gaming... God bless... d:
